Trying something new: Blogging!

Please be patient with me as I get use to blogging. If you notice a link is broken or something isn’t right, please let me know so I can fix it as soon as possible.

Also, the attachment for your child’s reading homework can be found in the “Homework Help” section of this blog. Of course, a hard copy of the homework is always sent home on Monday.

Accelerated Reader

The second quarter Accelerated Reader goal is 8 points. In addition to earning 8 points, students also need to have a correct question accuracy rate of 85% or higher. Students will know if they have their 8 points because their A.R. flower will be fully grown and their sun will be full of color.

Most books have Accelerated Reader Tests. Arno Media books are labeled with an Accelerated Reader sticker. If you have your own book, please click on the link and look up to see if your book has an A.R. test: http://www.arbookfind.com/default.aspx

Students cannot take Accelerated Reader tests at home. However, students can take A.R. tests in the computer lab, on the Chromebooks, on the classroom computers, and on our classroom tablets.

French Fur Trader Projects

The students did a very nice job on their French Fur Trader projects. The children in room 122 not only had great fur traders, accurate informational writings, but they also presented their project with ease. Thank you for all your support at home while your child completed this project.
