In-Person & Remote Students

Dear Third Grade Families,

On Monday, April 26th, the teachers will begin teaching remote students and in-person students at the same time.

In-Person Students

In-person students should be attending in-person unless they are unable due to being a close contact, he/she is unable to pass the daily covid screener, or he/she has tested positive for Covid 19. If an in-person student is affected by Covid, he/she is not allowed to attend in-person school. As a result, the student may attend remotely. For example, a child wakes up and has a sore throat and a runny nose. This child would not be able to pass the daily covid screener and would need to stay home. However, he/she is allowed to join remotely for the day.

Remote Students

Remote students will be expected to join multiple zooms throughout the day for instruction. Unfortunately, teachers are unable to reteach a lesson if a remote student is late to join the zoom. Remote students may rejoin the in-person students IF the positive testing rate is 7.5% or under for 7 consecutive days per Dr. Tafelski’s spreadsheet.

If you have signed your child up for Remote or your child is unable to attend In-Person Instruction due to Covid impact, the Third Grade remote schedule for this week is as follows:

Remote Schedule for 4/26-4/30

  • 8:30am Morning Check In Question
  • 8:40am Morning Work
  • 9:10am Reading Zoom
  • 10:10am Recess: Go outside if possible. Screen Break!
  • 10:35am Math Zoom

Thank you for your patience while we figure out this new way of teaching and learning.
