Science Review
The students played Kahoot this past week in order to prepare for their first science test.
Minion Visit
On Tuesday, October 24th, we had a special lunch visitor!
Math
The students in room 122 will have their Chapter 3 Math Test on Addition on Monday, October 30th. Please practice addition with and without regrouping.
Chapter 4 is about Subtraction. Students will practice subtraction with and without regrouping (borrowing).
Arno Skate Party

Parent/Teacher Conferences
Conferences will be on Wednesday, November 8th (5:00-7:30p.m.) and Thursday, November 9th (12:45-3:15p.m. & 5:00-7:30p.m.). Please sign up for a conference time. Because conferences are scheduled in 15 minute increments, please be respectful of others and arrive on time.

Fire Safety Assembly
On Thursday, October 26th, Firefighters Epperson and Maury came to Arno to talk with the students about fire prevention, fire safety, bike safety, and Halloween safety. The assembly ended outside and the students were able to climb up and through the fire truck!
October PBIS Reward
On Friday, October 27th, students who had 6 or fewer color changes earned the October PBIS Reward. The October PBIS Reward was Bingo in the cafeteria.
Halloween
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Students at Arno Elementary have a half day on Tuesday, October 31st. Children may come to school dressed in his/her Halloween costume. Please leave costume weapons and accessories at home.
Students do not need to bring in candy. However, if you would like to send in candy, candy will be put in ziploc bags and the bags will be sent home.
STUDENTS SHOULD LEAVE THEIR BACKPACKS AT HOME ON HALLOWEEN!
Halloween Schedule
- 8:30-9:00 Halloween Activities in the Classroom
- *No parents/guardians are needed.
- 9:00-9:45 Halloween Bingo in the Cafeteria
- *Parents/Guardians are invited to help.
- 9:45am Class Picture in the Cafeteria
- *Parents/Guardians are invited to take a picture of the class.
- 10:00am Halloween Parade
- *Weather permitting, the parade will go in and outside of the school.
- *Families will want to find a spot along the sidewalk to watch the Halloween Parade.
- 10:50-11:35 Specials Class
- *No parents/guardians are needed.
- 11:40 Dismissal
*** If you are planning on signing your child out after the parade, please see me in the classroom to sign out your child. If you wish, you may also sign your child out in the office. However, the office will be extra busy with sign-out requests.
We are requesting apple juiceboxes, plain donuts, and candy corn (to use as bingo chips) for our Halloween festivities. Please see the HalloweenSignUpGenius to sign up.
